Tooth #2

As you may recall from an earlier post...Aileen lost her first tooth and swallowed it!!! This morning I was awakened by Aileen yelling "Mommy" at 5:00 am. I went in her room and found her holding lost tooth #2. She was so excited she actually got to see it this time and put it in her little tooth fairy bag. A VERY exciting morning at our house. :)

Merry Christmas, Parker

My mom got Parker a little playset for Christmas. BUT since they live in Oklahoma and we live here, she had it shipped to us. AND since we are going to Oklahoma for Christmas, we decided to go ahead and put it up for him (with the "Okay" from Grammy, of course). He loves it!!! We may need to rethink it's placement in the yard, however, because every time we leave he sees it through the fence and says, "play!!! slide!!!". It's adorable. So, good purchase, Grammy!!!!!

What a wondeful experience!

Last night I had the opportunity to meet with the sisters of our ward and share a unique way to feel the spirit. Our sweet Sis. Richardson presented the life of Christ through art. It was such a wonderful experience. Pictures like the one below remind us how real He is. How Mary must have felt holding HER baby, knowing what His life was to be. Who He would become. Her eyes tell such a story. I loved this painting.

I was also so moved by this sculpture. Again, how Mary must have felt holding HER baby. Having watched Him be tortured, mocked and scorned. How her heart must have been absolutely broken and how unbearable the pain must have been to watch all this, knowing it had to happen. I admire the strength, courage and faith it must have taken for this Holy Mother to stand and watch as He was crucified. I can't imagine.

I LOVE this time of year. This special night was such a wonderful way to start it off. To feel the spirit so strongly. To have our testimonies strengthened so much in an hour and a half. I love my Savior. I Love Him.

(Sigh....)

It's so nice to have Daddy home. The kids have really enjoyed playing, reading books and doing all the fun daddy stuff. Aileen and Daddy had a "date" and went to see a movie and get ice cream. Parker thinks Daddy should play with him at all times. What else could he possibly have to do? :) We are complete again!!! It's so nice to have him home.

Halloween!!!

Halloween is so fun!! It's a blast to watch the kids lose their minds with excitement and sugar for a few hours. The base always has some nice things going on and a lot of people hand out candy and decorate their houses. We went with our next door neighbors and their adorable little girls and had a lot of fun. We also waited until Halloween day to carve our pumpkin because it's been so warm and we didn't want it to wither away before Halloween. Here are a few pictures of our fun evening.

So, I forgot to take a pic of the finished product........silly me.
Parker LOVED trick or treating!!!! He would say, "tick o' teat" and "thank ew". So cute!!!

Two beautiful princesses waiting at the door.

I don't think I need to tell you how unbelievably cute he is!!!!
